Today is the Anniversary of Nyamme Sherab Gyaltsen, founder of the Menri Monastery. The monks of Triten Norbutse and lay practitioners are doing rituals, practising and celebrating all day. In the evening there will be a kora and offering of light while reciting the prayer to this great master, the Dechen Gyalpo Prayer. At the invitation of Khenchen Tenpa Yungdrung, Khenpo Gelek Jinpa and Prof. Charles Ramble, Carol and Dmitry were honoured to contribute chapters to Yongdzin Rinpoche’s Centenary Volume, Celebrating 100 Years of Wisdom. The book includes an Introduction, a short biography of Yongdzin Rinpoche’s remarkable life, as well as contributions by scholars and Yongdzin Rinpoche’s disciples.
