Kyabje Yongdzin Lopön Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche’s Birthday Anniversary

Today, on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month, we celebrate an official birthday of Kyabje Yongdzin Lopön Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche, the Head Teacher of Yungdrung Bön. Rinpoche is 97 according to the Western system and 98 according to Tibetan system, in which age calculated from conception. Dmu-ra ta-han) – was born on the fifteenth day of the first month of Spring (Tib. me-stag-gi zla-ba) in the country of Olmo Lungring (Tib. ‘Ol-mo lung-ring), the central region of the larger country of Tagzig (Tib. Buddha Tönpa Shenrab Miwo passes into Nirvana

Today, the 30th day of the 9th Hortsi lunar month (10th month according to Zhang Zhung system) is the anniversary of passing into nirvana of Buddha Tönpa Shenrab Miwo. One can recite Tsewang Mönlam, remain in the contemplation of Natural State, perform Tsogchö or any other practice one is familiar with.
