Who are the Lu? Lu are water spirits or Water Owners, known as Naga in Sanskrit and Zhang Zhung. They don’t only live in water, and in fact there are many different classes of Lu inhabiting various worlds and elements. Since each of the five main elements is made of five sub-elements, each has a sub-element of water in which Lu reside. Italy It was Khenpo’s second visit to Tuscany co-hosted by Paola Malatesta and we were happy to welcome many old students as well as several new ones. Khenpo taught from Yongdzin Rinpoche’s commentary on the Prayer to Tapihritsa by Gurub Nangzher Lӧpo which he began last year and led morning and evening meditation sessions. New Books of Bönpo Thangkas Delivered to British Library

Good news for the end of the year! While we were in Triten Norbutse Bönpo Monastery, Kathmandu, earlier this month Yongdzin Rinpoche asked us to organise the delivery of a new two-volume edition of Bönpo thangkas to The British Library in London. The volumes contain 201 thangkas in high resolution as well as an explanation of iconography on each thangka in Tibetan.
