Yongdzin Rinpoche’s explanation of Tsewang Rigdzin’s Long-life mantra
Dear friends and sangha, You have probably already heard that Yongdzin Rinpoche, who is now 96, has been unwell for a few days. As his students, we have been asked to recite the long-life mantra of Tsewang Rigdzin:
SO DRUM A KAR MU LA TING NAM WÖ DU MU YE TSE NRI DZA
To help us all with this practice, we are sharing Yongdzin Rinpoche’s own explanation of the mantra, which he gave in December, 2009 as part of the consecration of the first stupa built in Shenten Dargye Ling, France.

May the lotus feet of the precious Master remain firm upon the Earth, may the Sun of his wisdom and compassion shine undimmed on all sentient beings, and may the blessings of his teachings pour for eons like amrita medicine in this and all worlds!

Yogdzin Rinpoche is one of my cherished teachers. Was with him in Massachusets some times in 1990’s, and a week in Nepal in early 2000’s. We were all blessed to be present with him when we were, and still the presence lives in heart. much blessings to all, and I trust that the infinite primordial intelligence will know exactly what his physical existence needs.
