Drenpa Yabse Festival- དྲན་པ་ཡབ་སྲས་དུས་ཆེན།

Today is Drenpa Yabse festival, the annual celebration of Drenpa Namkha and his twin sons, Tsewang Rigdzin and Pema Thongdrol. You can find more information here: https://yungdrungbon.co.uk/2021/03/06/three-drenpa-namkhas-in-yungdrung-bon/ It is a particularly auspicious day for practitioners to recite the prayer to Drenpa Namkha found in Heart Essence of the Khandro , and/or perform short or long tsog/ganapuja. Abstract: Being the most important sacred geographical feature of Zhang Zhung and Tibet, Mt. Kailash was venerated by Bönpos of various creeds from times immemorial. Extensive Practice of Drenpa Namkha

Today, Friday 25th March 2022, the extensive practice of Drenpa Namkha began in Triten Norbutse Bönpo Monastery, Kathmandu, Nepal. It will continue for a week, the Friday 1st March. During this week, the monks of the Drubdra meditation school will be reciting the liturgy and accumulating mantras according to the text The Secret Practice of Khöpung Drenpa’s Innermost Essence / ཁོད་སྤུངས་དྲན་པའི་སྙིང་ཐིག་གསང་སྒྲུབ་ཅེས་བྱ་བ་བཞུགས་པ་ལེགས་སོ།།.
