Homage to the Master! This morning Yongdzin Rinpoche received his copies of The Four Samayas of Dzogchen and Thirteen Points of Tantra and Tsewang Mönlam thanks to Largen Lama who brought them from France. Here Rinpoche is holding the book open at the page with his own photo, taken by Dmitry back in 1996 at Triten Norbutse. Many of us have benefited from the herbal medicines prepared by the clinic attached to Triten Norbutse Monastery but perhaps not so many know the history of this medical school. The first medical school and clinic were actually established back In 1987 in the refugee settlement of Dhorpatan, Nepal at the request of Yongdzin Rinpoche and 33rd Menri Tridzin Rinpoche by Dr. Tsultrim Sanggye. Today, 15th day of the 1st month of the Zhang Zhung calendar, Bönpos celebrate the birth of Buddha Tönpa Shenrab. According to tradition, the Buddha of Yungdrung Bön was born 18,037 years ago in Olmo Lungring, a sacred region of Tagzig (Thazig).
