*20: Constellation number. In Tibetan, constellations have names but to render the calendar easier to use, we use numbers here. Depending on one’s year of birth, specific days of the week and constellations may be positive or negative. Please consult the tables below.

Earth-Water: The minor combination (འཕྲོད་སྦྱོར་). This is the meeting of the planet of the day and the constellation of the day and their respective elements.

Missing day. In Shen astrology, lunar days may sometimes be skipped or doubled.་
There are two astrological systems, one following the stars, the other following the elements. According to the astrology of the elements (‘byung rtsis / འབྱུང་རྩིས།), there are no missing days, so this is why even days which are skipped in the astrology of the stars (skar rtsis / སྐར་རྩིས།) have some attributes. This Shen calendar is mainly calculated according to the astrology of the stars.
Double day. In Shen astrology, lunar days may sometimes be skipped or doubled.
Auspicious day for propitiating/praying to Drenpa Namkha (full moon).
Auspicious day for Nyamme Ladrub Ganapuja (new moon).
Auspicious day for Lama Gönpoi Ganapuja (new moon).

The Day of La is favourable for accomplishing spiritual activities. The Day of Vital Energy brings success in carrying out virtuous actions. The Day of Obstacles is generally negative. However, the obstructing forces on this day can be swiftly subdued by the power of ritual magic. Therefore, the key is to choose correctly what should be accepted and what rejected. Virtue!
