New Website Launched on FPYB Second Anniversary

Today we are celebrating our second anniversary as a registered Charity! Even though we are a very small – tiny! organisation, we have good news from almost each of the last 12 months. Take a moment to rejoice with us.

Summer 2018 – At the request of Khenpo Gelek Jinpa, we all worked really hard over the summer to translate the full DU TRI SU practice text from Tibetan into English in time for the Drubchen retreat to be held in Shenten Dargye Ling, France. Skype calls with Khenpo Gelek sometimes lasted several hours, bouncing from UK, France, Mexico and even Moscow!

October 2018 – thanks to the constant advice and blessings of Yongdzin Rinpoche, DU TRI SU practice text THE LAMP WHICH DISPELS DARKNESS: the practice manual of DU TRI SU which purifies obscurations and dredges all beings from the depths of Samsara was available for practitioners during the Drubchen retreat. A Daily Practice edition was published the following month.

November 2018 – FPYB was delighted to host Drubdra Khenpo of Triten Norbutse once again. During his visit, we finalised the publication of Magyu Tsalung and Tummo and Khenpo kindly added further details on winds, channels and thigles which allowed us complete the set of colour illustrations masterfully produced by Yungdrung Rabten. We also shot video of Khenpo demonstrating each movement.

January 2019 – following a discussion with Yongdzin Rinpoche, FPYB released two small public books by our Master: Essential Instructions on the Innermost Essence of Kuntu Zangpo and Pith Instructions on Dzogchen.

January also saw the very successful video launch of Magyu Tsalung & Tummo (currently the video has been watched over 4,000 times on Facebook and has an auspicious 108 ‘likes’ on YouTube).

February 2019 – work began on a French translation of Approaching Dzogchen according to the Athri Cycle by HH 33rd Menri Tridzin – watch this space!

In March founding member Dmitry Ermakov signed a contract with a major Russian publisher for the long-awaited Russian version of his bestseller Bө and Bön. In English, a 3rd revised and corrected edition and e-book are also underway.

April 2019 – an agreement was signed between FPYB and Vajra Books about the reprinting of five books for sale in South East Asia, India and Nepal. This will greatly increase the availability of these books worldwide. (They are already on sale in Kathmandu!)

May 2019 – an agreement was signed for the translation and publication of Magyu Tsalung & Tummo into Polish. (We just heard that the draft translation has already been completed). Watch this space!

June 2019 – work began on an Italian translation of Approaching Dzogchen according to the Athri Cycle. Visit Our Translators section to read Lidia Castellano’s short Bio.
